Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Peter Reckell Suffers Family Loss Bo Brady Stars Beloved Pet Dog

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some sad news to pass on about a popular ex-DOOL star. Peter Reckell, who portrayed Bo Brady on the NBC soap, has recently faced some terrible losses in his life. As you might remember, Peter recently lost his father Russ Reckell, who passed away back in June. And last year, Peter lost his mother as well. Now, the Reckell family is coping with the aftermath of another loss – that of their beloved family dog, Dodger.

Peter’s wife Kelly Moneymaker posted a photo of Dodger on Twitter and shared the news about Dodger’s passing on her Facebook page along with the same photo. As part of her message, Kelly shared the touching eulogy that their daughter Loden wrote for the sweet pup.

Kelly’s Facebook post reads: “Our beloved Dodger left us today. He was a very special being and we are honored that he chose our family as his own. We’ve had many profound losses this year. We are devastated.” Kelly then shared the eulogy written by Loden, which you can read below.

Kelly has received numerous comments and words of sympathy in response to her message. One person commented: “So very sorry Kelly, what a beautiful tribute written by Loden. I know your loss is huge and wishing you peace and comfort today!” And someone else replied: “Absolutely beautiful tribute. Sending huge hugs and prayers your family’s way.”

Kelly responded personally to many of those who commented on her loss and her message. For example, one person wrote: “Beautifully written sincere words. Sorry for the loss of your fur baby. The only consolation I feel is that we will meet out fur babies at The Rainbow Bridge.” To that, Kelly replied: “That’s a wonderful consolation, Anabelle.”

Peter has not commented thus far on the loss of his family’s beloved pet, although his most recent tweets did concern the passing of his father at the end of June. On July 6th, Peter thanked his followers for their support, saying: “Thanks for all your condolences. My father passed with his loving family around him at the age of 92. He came from a dirt-poor upbringing to raise 6 health, motivated, successful children.”
